Brookeside is a special place! Professionally managed, tastefully and beautifully equipped and furnished an absolute gem and a wonderful example of what a B&B should be.

Clarens is known for its art and artists and Maryna is indeed one of the artists. She has crated amidst a wonderful setting a place in which to relax and live. Nothing has escaped her in her quest to offer everything that one may want or need. We will certainly tell family and friends to visit this wonderful house. Thank you.

What a stunning room after a long days drive! Loved everything especially the sense of quality; the nice touch of the fresh flowers, the Persian carpets and the views and not forgetting the teddy bear. We must come back to stay again. Many thanks.

My husband and I found a home away from home, a friendly host and great restaurants all around....just what one needs to break away from the mad pace in Johannesburg! Brookside offered us a warm, very neat and tidy, everything you need, place to unwind and rejuvenate! All of this, with privacy to boot. Well done to our hosts, you have an establishment to be proud of and one which I would not hesitate to recommend.

Accommodation at Brookeside is superb and spotless, crisp quality linen and the decor is very elegant. Touches like fresh rusks daily and a heated room on arrival are the most memorable.
Would highly recommend Brookeside house and we will definitely be returning soon.

The room was modern, spacious and extremely clean. It offers a sliding door leading to a balcony with lovely views.
A bonus was that even though you feel like you are surrounded with nature, you are also walking distance to everything in town.

Upon our arrival at the Brookside House, we received a warm welcome from our hosts. The surroundings were lovely and our hosts were very gracious. The room was splendidly decorated and everything was well organised. We loved the little bottle of sherry. A very helpful tool was the folder with the menu's from all the surrounding restaurants and coffee shops. We found a menu we liked and took a moonlight stroll to the restaurant. In the morning, after having a great rest and being woken by a "piet-my-vrou" singing praises to the lovely mountains, we had breakfast and continued our journey, refreshed and happy. Our stay was marvellous and we will undoubtedly head back there soon!
Welcome to Brookeside House, Clarens Accommodation with the best views. Only a few minutes walk away from the Art Galleries, restaurants and shops. We hope you have a peaceful and rejuvenating stay in Clarens.
